Introducing Mr. Conran- Skyview's Dean of Students

Hello Skyview families, my name is John Conran and I will be filling in as Dean of Students. My education includes a bachelor’s degree from Millersville University, Masters of Special Education from Eastern University and a principal certification from California University of Pennsylvania. I have worked at Methacton for 6 years as a high school social studies teacher. Along with teaching, I coach JV volleyball and work most of the athletic events at the high school. My wife and I have 2 daughters, Lucy (3) and Maeve (2). A fun fact about me is that my wife and I have friends who live in Africa and we have been lucky enough to visit them twice in Tanzania. I am excited to work with the families, staff, and students at Skyview Upper Elementary School.

If your child is getting a school breakfast or lunch, it is important that they have their student ID ready to use when they go through the cafeteria line. Having the ID ready speeds up the process of moving through the line. Please remind your child to bring their ID to school each day and to have it easily accessible at breakfast and lunch.

In addition, please remind your child that appropriate behavior is expected in the cafeteria. Manners such as saying please and thank you, throwing trash away and cleaning their space after they are finished eating is expected. We greatly appreciate you discussing these expectations with your child so that we can work together to provide a more pleasurable dining experience.
