The Time has Come for Your 1-1-1

Don't worry, it will be a walk in the park!

Dear FTI Participant,

I hope your semester is off to a great start! I just wanted to touch base to see how you thought you might incorporate what was learned in the FTI into your teaching or research. When you signed up for the FTI, you agreed to participate in the 1-1-1 Program which states that you will employ at least one (1) tool and/or strategy introduced in the 2013 Spring/Summer FTI into at least one (1) course or research project within one (1) year of completion of the FTI (April 1, 2014) and then report on the results in the form of a scholarly paper, a blog post, a self-contained digital presentation (such as a video or a slideshow with voice-over), an FTI Faculty Showcase, or Faculty Roundtable discussion.

I would love to hear from you about what tool/strategy you would like to implement and your timeline (Fall 13 or Spring 14) for implementation. Also, please list any concerns that you have or any support needs that you think you may have. Remember, I am here to help you be successful in this endeavor so please contact me with any questions or for assistance. If you are still unsure of what you would like to do, we can schedule a meeting to brainstorm some ideas. If you would like to take a look at past FTI blog posts, you can find them on our blog (, under “Browse Site by Category”. Choose “1-1-1” and click “Search Site.”

Please send me the information requested above, via email, by Thursday, September 19, 2013. Having this information, early, will allow me to better assist you.

Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Best regards,
