Stallion Scoop

September 2022 Edition

Principal's Message

I apologize for the delay in sending the September Stallion Scoop. I was out sick last week and this is the first chance I have had to send the newsletter. Thank you for understanding.

Fall is an exciting time at SPE! September and October are the some of busiest months of the year at SPE. Please read the Stallion Scoop carefully as there are lots of activities for kids and families.

Thank you to all of the parents who attended the SPE Academy. The teachers put in many hours to ensure you were well-informed to be able to help your child this school year. Please take the time to leave us feedback about SPE Academy below. If you didn't attend, please take the time to let us know why. This feedback will help us with future communication and improving SPE Academy next year. If you were unable to attend or would like a refresher of the information, there will be a link to the information in the October Stallion Scoop.

Your Partner in Education,

Brooke Nolte, Principal

Attendance Awareness

September is Attendance Awareness Month! Too many absences, even excused, can keep students from succeeding in school and in life. Missing just 2 days a month means a child misses 10% of the school year. Absences add up! It is important that your child is at school every day.

Every Friday, we will celebrate by dressing up and the class with the highest percentage of attendance will have a popcorn party.

Ways to Stay Connected

OnCourse-Email Updates

In order to stay informed regarding your child’s progress, it is crucial each parent access the online portal. OnCourse allows you to view your child’s attendance, grades, etc. You can also select in the settings to receive weekly updates on your child’s current grades.

Class Dojo

Over 75% of our parents have signed up for Class Dojo! Thank you for supporting your child and SPE by praising your child for their positive points in Dojo and monitoring any area that may need work. Teachers only record needs work after they have redirected the behavior and it is not corrected.

Please be reminded that teachers will not respond to messages through Class Dojo. Teachers only communicate through their parish email and by telephone. If you need to contact a teacher by email, their email address is
