World's Fair Thank you!
We'd like to send a special thank you to all of our families, staff, and high school volunteers who volunteered to staff games and crafts. Clearly, we couldn't do it without you!
Thanks, too, to all the parents who brought candy and stickers; who came early to set up; who brought baskets for our Tricky Tray; who helped organize pizza and ice; who ensured we had all the materials we needed; and more! It takes a team to make this event happen.
Lastly, we'd love your feedback on what went well and what could be improved for next year. Please share your insights by completing our 2022 World's Fair Family Survey. Just click on the links below:

State Testing Continues (Gr 3-8)
Here are some are important preparations that students and families can do to ensure students are prepared to do their best.
- Bring their Chromebook FULLY CHARGED to school
- Get a good night's rest
- Eat a good breakfast
- Arrive at school on time
Most ELA and Math assessments will be completed this week. Science and make-up tests will continue to be administered throughout May. Thank you for your support in ensuring your child does his/her best on the state assessments!
Enrollment for 2022-23
We are continuing to accept applications for the 2022-23 school year. If space is not available in your child’s grade, she/he will be placed on a waiting list by grade level. Seats will be offered on a first-come, first-serve, basis. If you have friends or family who may be interested in attending GLC, please share this information with them. While we have waitlists at some grade levels, we still have openings at a few grade levels. Applications are available on our website and in our front office.
Country Day It was super fun to see our students decked out for Country Day last week! This week we have two dress-up days: Tuesday is hippie day and Wednesday is superhero day. Encourage your child to join the fun and dress up! | MAPS Scholarship Winner Congratulations to Aleah See who was one of just three students selected in all of VUSD to receive the MAPS Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a student who demonstrates a growth mindset and leadership skills. | Slick Rock Film Festival Winners Congratulations to GLC's Slick Rock Film club who were awarded an honorable mention in the highly competitive Middle School blockbuster category. They got to walk the red carpet and see their film on the big screen at Visalia's historic Fox Theater. |
