Blended Model Update
Beginning today, Monday, February 8, our sixth grade in person students will be moving across the hall one time during the day. We are cautiously reviewing all safety protocols to create safe conditions where we can have some return to normalcy. Any student movement is supervised and in a safe, socially distanced environment. Up next for movement will be our 7th Graders who will be moving between Core 3 and Core 4 classes and 8th graders moving between elective 2 and elective 3 classes.

SWIRL- A School Goal
The Washington Middle School goal is to improve our students' literacy skills by creating an opportunity for every student, every day, in every class to practice the skills of Speaking, Writing, Interacting, Reading and Listening- SWIRL.
We are excited to continue to share SWIRL into every advisory classroom every Thursday. We are all watching a video of a community member or famous person talking to our students about how they use the skills in SWIRL in their careers. Our goal is for students to see SWIRL in every possible job- letting them know that SWIRL is apart of their future.
Thank you to Damon Ryan, a sports director with Seehafer Broadcasting for sharing her story about SWIRL with our students.
