RHS Weekly Update
Riverside High School - May 31 - June 4
Hybrid Learning Update
Greetings Pirate Nation,
This week our pirates continue End of Course (EOC) and Career and Technical Education (CTE) NC exams. These exams must be taken on campus. Students will need to bring their charged device and charger to participate on exam days. Each day students reporting for exams should complete the DPS Symptoms Screener at home. After completing all the screening questions, students without Covid symptoms will see a green check. Students should take a screenshot of their green check to show at the main entrance. We will have staff ready to assist students with locating their testing locations each morning.
Students enrolled in the following courses should report for in-person testing.
EOC Exams:
- English II
- Math I
- Math III
- Biology
CTE Exams:
- Sports and Entertainment Marketing I and II
- Food Science and Technology
- Foods I
- Early Childhood Education I
- Child Development
- Financial Planning
- Principles of Business and Finance
- Accounting II
Our final Spring Exam schedule is posted on the Riverside website under the testing section.
Testing Information from Ms. Johnson (Testing Coordinator)
Spring exams continue on Tuesday, June 1st, with the Math 3 EOC. Any student who missed their EOC or CTE exam will need to come on their designated day either Thursday, June 3rd or Friday, June 4th to take their exam. Make-up exam communication was shared by the testing team with students and families. Students need to report to campus for their exams by 8:30 am each day for student check-in, and screening will start at 8:30 am every day during testing week. Masks or face covering must be worn at all times during testing. Students should bring their DPS laptop & charger to their testing session. Please make sure students charge their laptops the night BEFORE their exam. Personal laptops will not be able to be used for exams. Once a student finishes their exam, they will be able to leave. Students will not have access to their phones until the classroom testing session has ended or their individual test has ended, and they choose to leave. Once a student exits the building, they will not be permitted back inside. Staff will coordinate an orderly dismissal of students to reduce the disruption of other students finishing their exams.
