The Gemini Project had four main goals, to test an astronaut's ability to fly long periods of time (up to two weeks in space); to understand how spacecraft could last and dock in orbit around the Earth and the moon; to re-enter and landing methods perfectly; and to further understand the effects of longer space flights on astronauts
Apollo
Apollo was the trip to the moon, it proved that man could step foot on the moon
Sputnik
Sputnik was a single event, it marked the start of the space age
Space Stations
International space station which is permanently manned
Skylab was also equipped with two docking ports, like second-generation stations, but the extra port was never utilized
