May It Be of Benefit

Hello Families,

How wonderful it has been to see some of you in person! This has been an interesting start to the school year, but it seems we are all getting used to things being "unusual". Your open and optimistic attitudes and the grace you are extending as we learn a new way of doing school has made this difficult work easier. I don't know about you, but for me, I might initially resist change but then as I start to wrap my mind around it and think of ways to overcome the obstacles, I start to feel calmer and more optimistic. Some parents who were highly anxious about the news that we were going to Distance Learning have met with their child's teacher and are now feeling much better about the plan as we go forward. As we start into our daily routines of logging on and experiencing live instruction and learning the various programs, all of us will feel better and more confident. This version of Distance Learning is more robust with more live interaction, more routines, and better communication between families and the school. With a good plan, good people, and good perspectives, I am confident we will make the best of our current situation.

With gratitude,

Mrs. Gold

Back to School Priority #1

The most important thing you can do this week is make sure you have connected with your child(ren)'s teacher(s). Schedule your appointment to come to the school with your child and meet with the teacher to: get a Chromebook, find out about daily schedules and routines, get login codes and passwords, practice logging into the virtual classroom, and take home any textbooks or materials that your child will need to be successful.

After you have met with the teacher, you will be ready to follow the schedule to log in every morning to the live meeting and begin engaging in lessons with the teacher.

If you have not connected with your child's teacher, please call the office at 224-4180 between 7 am and 4 pm and we will help you get connected.
