Reading A-Z: Information Item
Dear K-5 Teachers and Principals,
We are happy to announce that we are ready to launch Reading A-Z for all K-5 students!
Thank you to those teachers who updated your existing student accounts following our email on October 29. We have worked with Learning A-Z, the parent company of Reading A to Z, to validate the data you provided, and the sync with Clever is now complete.
All teachers who are new to the program should receive an email from Learning A-Z shortly, letting you know when your account is active. That email will provide a username and password you can use to log in on the Learning A-Z website to access your class rosters. If you are not seeing a particular student in your roster, please confirm the student is enrolled in your homeroom in PowerSchool.
The email you receive from Learning A-Z will contain a link to professional learning resources to assist you in the use of Reading A-Z with your students. Our expectation is for all students to use Reading A-Z as a supplement to our classroom libraries.
Teachers who have already been using the program should receive an email from Learning A-Z letting you know of any students who have been transferred or newly added to your roster. There may be a delay in populating some of your rosters due to the way Learning A-Z handles co-teachers, but the Learning A-Z engineer has assured us they will get that done ASAP.
Once all accounts are active and rosters have been updated, you and your students will be able to log into Learning A-Z through the Clever Portal. Instructions for logging in through Clever are attached to this email.
If you have any questions about this, or if you experience any technical issues, please contact Julie Mullen (jmullen@op97.org).
Sincerely,
Teaching and Learning and Technology Departments
