Judge Waldron Visits Alder 8th Grade Students
Meet our NEW Staff!!
Ms. Amber Molina
I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree from Rowan University. I majored in English Education and completed a certification program to obtain my Teacher of Students with Disabilities endorsement. I completed my student teaching for English Education at Egg Harbor Township High School. There, I taught several 12th grade honors-level English courses and a Mythology elective. I also completed my special education student teaching within the district at Fernwood Middle School.
My love for education, specifically special education, developed during my high school years. I was fortunate enough to work with an amazing peer who had Down Syndrome when taking a dance elective my sophomore year. Although I helped him learn the dance steps for our final project, he ended up teaching me much more in return. This experience incited my passion for education and inspired me to begin mentoring special education classes for the remainder of my high school years. I was fortunate enough to know exactly what I wanted to major in upon graduating high school, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice of occupation! While I love teaching during the school year, my favorite season is the summer. I look forward to sunshine, the beach, and relaxing with a book in my hand!
Ms. Robin Soden
Robin Soden has been singing and performing since she could talk. At the age of 9 she inherited her grandmother’s flute and truly started her journey as a musician. In middle school, she choreographed, directed and performed in her school’s show choir when her director took a leave of absence. While a student at Point Pleasant Boro High School, she was a member of marching band, concert band, concert choir, Madrigals, Show Choir, Treblettes, and 8 theater productions.
She then continued her journey at the University of Dayton where she majored in Music education with minors in English and History. As a member of the Pride of Dayton Marching Band, she performed halftime shows during 3 NFL games. She toured Europe and the british Isles twice with the University Chorale. She also performed with the Ebony Heritage Singers, Choral Union and Concert Band.
Over the course of her 18 year teaching career, she has taught choir, band and strings to grades pre-k-12. Her favorite? Middle school band and strings and she could not be happier to be a member of the Egg Harbor Township Performing Arts family.
Ms. Marissa Weatherby
Mrs. Weatherby began her career by teaching 1st grade at Slaybaugh and Davenport Primary Schools. She is now the chorus director at Alder Avenue Middle School and has her students performing in various events throughout the year. Mrs. Weatherby works diligently to achieve our district goals. She creates innovative learning experiences in her classroom with particular emphasis on the A in STEAM, she ensures that all of her students have opportunities to bring their own cultures into the learning environment which fosters understanding and learning about different people, and she works to build community pride by holding performances that are open to the community.
