Needed Books for Classroom and At Home Reading - Message from Ms. Russo
Dear Parents,
I should have sent this out before, but.....There are several books I'd like to read with both classes, as their reading teacher! I've spoken to Jen Tamez and she ordered for the book fair. Not sure enough for both classes, but great if kids could have their own book. We will never get through them all if we only use class time to read, so, good if kids can take home.
By the Great Horn Spoon by SId FLeischman
Holes Louis Sachar
Walter, The Story of a Rat Barbara Wersba
The Island of the Blue Dolphin
Kids can keep their copies or donate to the class afterwards....some of this was done last year.
Figured parents should know, maybe they can purchase a copy for their son/daughter at the Book Fair this week.
Thanks,
Patti

Weho Elementary Annual Holiday Show - Dec 17th:
We know everyone is looking forward to our annual holiday show. Each year our talented children, teachers & staff come up with such a great show that embraces the essence of the holidays & how special our school really is. We are still waiting to hear which show time our class has been assigned (either 8:30a or 1:30p) on Wednesday, December 17th and will get that information out to you as soon as possible so you can plan your calendars accordingly. We will also have more information on our costumes that the kids have been assigned once we get more direction. We'll keep you posted but for now mark December 17th on your calendars.
