Welcome Back To School!

Last school year we decorated our school and had the LEGO theme, "Let's Build Together". If you remember, each student added their name to a LEGO piece and we built a solid tower to represent all of us coming together and connecting as a school. I was the new Principal, we had many new students, families, and teachers. We worked hard, focused on student growth, and had a lot of fun.

This year we will be launching off from our solid foundation and our theme is...

"The Sky's the Limit" (All things Rockets!)

Our team's effort and investment into your child's growth continues to be our mission. I can't wait for our hallways and classrooms to be filled with the energy and life that your children will bring. We never settle for the status quo and continue to add new programs, improved instructional strategies, and fun opportunities to enhance your children's learning.

Please do not ever hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Mr. Jarot

Who is my child's Teacher?

Short Explanation:

The D303 Home Access Center (HAC) will open up on August 5th for all Elementary Students. Log-in and see your child’s teacher.

Long Explanation:

Please make sure you are currently registered to access your child’s classroom assignment on the Home Access Center (HAC). If you previously registered, your login names and passwords have not changed, and you do not need to re-register. If you are new or have not previously registered, you must have a current and valid email address on file, with the school. If you have not provided a current and valid email address you may do so by calling the school office. (331) 228-3300.

For initial access to a HAC account, on or after August 5th, please follow the included steps, after providing your current and valid email address to the school office:

  • Go to the district website at www.d303.org and click Parent Login near the upper-right corner. On a mobile device, open the navigation menu by clicking the menu icon in the upper-right, then scroll down and tap Parent Login

  • Create a username and password by clicking the Begin Using HAC icon on the right-hand side of the screen and then clicking on the To Register for HAC link

  • Follow the prompts to complete the initial registration and click Register – You will be prompted to use one of the following city abbreviations: St Charles, S Elgin, or W Chicago

  • Confirm registration and click Finish

  • Your password will be emailed to the registered email address you provided the school

If you receive an error message, this likely means the information on file does not match what you have entered. If this occurs, please contact the school office to make any corrections.

All active elementary HAC accounts will be accessible on Monday, August 5th. At that time, you will be able to view your child’s classroom assignment and teacher, by following the steps below:

  • Go to the district website at www.d303.org and click Home Access Center under the For Parents heading

  • Log in to the HAC by entering your registered username and password via the Begin Using HAC icon on the right-hand side of the screen

  • Select Registration from the menu on the left; You should then see the classroom assignment and teacher, which are labeled Homeroom and Homeroom Teacher on the right-hand side of the screen.

Curriculum Nights! Don't miss this important night.

Curriculum Night marks a great opportunity for parents to get to know what their child’s typical day looks like at Anderson. Parents get to hear from teachers regarding the curriculum, classroom routines, communication plans, as well as ask questions. Please plan on attending. Note, there are two nights scheduled based on grade level. See below.

  • Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade: Monday, August 26th, from 6:00-7:00 pm.

  • 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade: Wednesday, August 28th, from 6:00-7:00 pm.

Food Service

We are pleased to announce that Anderson School will once again be participating in the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Breakfast Program! Studies show that breakfast can help kids improve their academic performance, increase focus and prepare your child for a successful day. This program was created to benefit all participants by ensuring all children are offered a nutritious and balanced meal to start their day. Menu items will include daily offerings such as hard-boiled eggs, string cheese, muffins, yogurt, cereal, mini pancakes, fresh fruit, cereal bars, and juice. There will be a hot and cold choice each day. Students can simply pick up breakfast on their way to class if they so choose.

Much like the National School Lunch Program, breakfast will be offered to students at the following rates:

● Full Price - $1.60

● Reduced Price - $0.30

● Free Price - $0.00

If you currently qualify for free or reduced lunch you will automatically qualify to receive free or reduced breakfast as well. For more information please contact Erica Arlinsky with Organic Life. Her email is earlinsky@organiclifeusa.com

Electronic Payment for School Lunches. It's so easy, even Mr. Jarot can do it. :)

PushCoin will be used to handle electronic payments for school breakfast and lunches. Parents can set up accounts through www.PushCoin.com. One of the most convenient features of PushCoin is that funds can be transferred from one student to another. Therefore, you can add an amount to your account with one transaction from your bank account through eCheck, credit card, or check and then distribute money to your other student’s accounts without an additional transaction fee.

What to expect when you use PushCoin?

  • PushCoin is a mobile-friendly website. You can use a smartphone or a tablet to fund and monitor your students’ lunch accounts
  • You can set up notifications so you’ll be alerted when your child makes a purchase or when the account balance is low.
  • You can check your child’s transaction history
  • You can deposit funds to your account and then transfer a portion of that deposit to the students in your family without incurring an additional transaction fee.

You will have multiple methods for funding student lunch accounts with PushCoin:

  • Electronic Check (eCheck) (There is no transaction fee to use eCheck)
  • Credit Card (There is a 2.79% plus 25 cent transaction fee to use a credit card)
  • Check (Payable to St. Charles CUSD 303 and delivered to a school cafeteria cashier)
