Mandatory Universal Screening Training
- This is a "Train the Trainer" Session for all levels, elementary, middle and high schools. The purpose of this training is to provide ALL needed information to administer the Math and ELA Universal Screeners with fidelity. One (or more) RTI contact from each school must attend one of the virtual sessions below and in turn provide training at the building level to all staff who will be administering Universal Screening Assessments.
Fall Universal Screener Dates

ILP-D Training
- August 28 9:30-11:30 or 1:00-3:00 @ SSPD Great Room
- The purpose of the meeting is to educate instructional coaches on ILP-Ds (Individual Learning Plans for Dyslexia) and how it interacts with RTI2, S-TEAMS, and Section 504. Students with characteristics of dyslexia are now associated with weighted funding as a unique learning need. The state has specific guidance on the identification and supporting these students. This information is crucial for our coaches (who support RTI teams) to know as each school is required by the state to follow these guidelines. Sign up on MLP.

Micro Moves to Strengthen Intervention
PowerUp
If you are new to PowerUP click here for training.
Lexia Implementation Best Practices
Our best practices include tasks for both students and educators and utilize all three components of the Lexia Adaptive Blended Learning model—student program, myLexia reports for progress monitoring, and Lexia instructional resources. You as the teacher are the most important and influential resource!
1. Students understand why they are using PowerUp.
2. Students meet their personalized usage goal in the program each week.
3. Educators visit myLexia weekly to review class and student data and utilize the data to make instructional decisions.
4. Educators reinforce online learning and provide targeted instruction using Lexia’s instructional resources.
5. Educators celebrate and communicate student progress
i-Ready Tools for Instruction
With the new adoption of i-Ready for grades K-8, we will have additional resources to use within Math Intervention groups. Information from the i-Ready Diagnostic can help you pinpoint specific areas of need and address those in intervention. Communication among all staff members who deliver instruction is key to successful student outcomes.
Starting the Year Off Right- Mindset Shift
The beginning of the school year is an ideal time to teach students practical strategies to help them in all academic areas. These resources can be adapted for use in the intervention setting to foster a positive attitude toward learning and set your students up for success.
Educator Spotlight - Welcome Academic Interventionists!
