As we navigate the 2021-2022 school year we are preparing for as normal a year as possible, in the hopes that we can remain fully open with all students attending together pre-covid style. I personally long for the day that we can utter the words post-covid but until then we are pushing ahead with our "new normal". We are as I stated still fully in school but using the mask, stringent cleaning routines, and the fountain of sanitizer flowing freely in every hallway keeping our students and staff safe. We are ready to make all accommodations necessary to help our students be successful this school year!

PCS Volunteer Orientation was held last Friday and we are very grateful for those willing to volunteer their spare time at our schools. If you missed the orientation but would still like to volunteer, the opportunity is still available. Please complete this Volunteer Application at the link and we will be in touch to set up an in-person orientation with you.

This is the time of year that Pelham City Schools host the Title 1 Annual Parent Meetings at each school. The Title 1 Annual Parent Meetings are important meetings we are required to hold in order to help parents understand all that title 1 is involved with academically, how the funding supports our students, and how we budget the funds we receive. Please plan to make time to attend the meeting for your students school! You play a vital role in the Title 1 funding for our students! All Title 1 Meeting information and videos will be posted after the event on the district and school website to provide a virtual option.

Following each Title 1 Annual Parent Meeting schools will each host their specific parent event as noted above which will all include, academic support, student involvement and great door prizes!

If you have any need of resources that are housed in our PCS Parent Involvement Resource Center or have a request for specific material please complete the PIRC Request Form. I will contact you and send home any material we have with your student or order what is needed.

Artsonia is an online portfolio and fundraising tool we will be using this year in the art room. Student work will be scanned and then you in turn can help us earn funds through customized keepsakes. I am always happy to add artwork done at home to a student's gallery, so please don't hesitate to allow your students to bring their work to me to be scanned to their Artsonia. The items available for purchase are wonderful gift ideas and a great keepsake of your artist's work.
