PLEASE COMPLETE THE 4K-12TH TRANSPORTATION SURVEY BY FRIDAY!
Please Complete the 4K-12th Transportation Survey By Friday!
All current 4K-12th parents were sent a survey last week that we need your feedback on. We need to collect information from our families about your child’s bus ridership for this year and bus needs for next year. We ask that all families please complete this short survey once per child so we can best plan for efficient routes and bus capacities. Even if your child is not attending Franklin Public Schools next year, please complete the survey.
Please click here to complete the survey before this Friday, June 4th at 11:59pm.
If you have any additional questions about transportation, please contact Tricia Geiger, Auxiliary Services Coordinator at (414) 525-7634 or tricia.geiger@franklin.k12.wi.us
K9 DEMONSTRATION WITH THE FRANKLIN POLICE DEPARTMENT
REPORT CARD UPDATE
Due to COVID-19, our universal precautions, and teaching in both virtual and in-person environments, the area of speaking and listening was not assessed during this school year. It is not fair and equitable to assess the areas of speaking and listening due to the universal precautions and differences of teaching in virtual and in-person environments. As a result, speaking and listening will continue to be listed as N/A on the report card for trimester 3.
We believe that it has been important to continue to teach speaking and listening as a part of our reading and writing units this year. Speaking and listening are crucial to building social skills to support our students in learning content and increasing independence.

4K-4TH CHROMEBOOK COLLECTION
The district will be collecting 4K-4th grade Chromebook devices, chargers, and cases at the end of the school year for both in-person and virtual students. Current 5th students will hold onto their device over the summer unless the chromebooks is in need of a repair or the student will not be going to Forest Park next year. In-person students will return their items during the regular school day. Virtual students will be asked to drop off items to their home school after the last day of school. Charges will be issued for any missing or damaged items. Please make sure your child fully charges the Chromebook the night before collection. When we put devices into summer storage, the batteries will last longer and hold better charges if we put them into storage at full charge.
In-Person Chromebook Collection Schedule:
4K & Kindergarten: Thursday, June 3rd
1st & 2nd Grade: Friday, June 4th
3rd & 4th Grade: Monday, June 7th
Virtual Chromebook Collection Schedule:
Thursday, June 10th (4:00-6:00 PM)
Friday, June 11th (9:00-11:00 AM)
**Return Chromebook/Charger/Case to your Home School**
During the turn in process, Chromebooks, cases and chargers will be inspected for damage and collected for summer storage. If damage is found (ex: missing keys, broken screen, frayed wires, device not working properly, damaged bag), we will follow our normal repair procedure and the family may be charged the $20 damage fee. See our 1:1 Handbook here for possible damage types. If the problem is deemed to require a fee, the fee will be applied to the student’s fees in PowerSchool. Due to the volume of repairs our repair vendor receives from many school districts at the end of a school year, it will take all summer to get our devices back and to apply fees into PowerSchool. As a result, repair fees may not appear in PowerSchool until late summer or early fall.
