Important Message from the Health Office
If you are emailing or calling to report your child absent, please indicate whether they are sick or the reason for their absence. If you have done a home COVID test, please provide the results in the message. If this information is not provided in the original message, the health office will be reaching out to you to follow-up.
Please see COVID symptoms list below and test per recommendations provided by DESE. If your child has a fever or is vomiting, they must be fever free and/or have not vomited for 24 hours prior to returning to school.
COVID-19 symptoms list:
- Fever (100.0° Fahrenheit or higher), chills, or shaking chills
- Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
- New loss of taste or smell
- Muscle aches or body aches
- Cough (not due to other known cause, such as chronic cough)
- Sore throat, when in combination with other symptoms
- Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea when in combination with other symptoms
- Headache when in combination with other symptoms Fatigue, when in
combination with other symptoms
- Nasal congestion or runny nose (not due to other known causes, such
as allergies) when in combination with other symptoms
If a student has cold symptoms at home, please use an at home COVID test kit. If they
feel well enough after testing, then they can attend school, but they
should continue to test if symptoms do not improve.
If your child does test positive for COVID, please report this to our
office immediately so that we may provide you with further guidance.
