Placement Request Form
Requests for placement (specify child from which to separate, request for specific teacher, etc.) can only be granted for medical, physical or educational reasons.
If you feel your request falls into one of these categories, please fill out a request form and write a brief statement below explaining your reasoning for the request.
The request for placement must be filed in the principal’s office on or before May 1, 2023, before any kind of placement request will be considered. NO VERBAL REQUESTS OF ANY KIND WILL BE CONSIDERED, AND NO REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER MAY 1, 2023.
Keep in mind, we must balance classrooms academically, socially and behaviorally. When considering the needs of all children, we cannot guarantee that this request will be honored. We appreciate your input.
Request forms can be found on the school website.
The activities will be based on The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. The students will learn about Earth Day and the importance of caring for our earth. Sixth grade will be teaching the stations where the younger kids will be doing activities and learning how to save our earth by preventing pollution, cleaning up trash and caring for plants and animals appropriately.
The younger grades will be participating in the morning session and the older kids will go to the park in the afternoon.
4th Grade Field Trips
On May 1 they will be attending May Day at the Plymouth County Museum in Le Mars. The museum is filled with volunteers who bring the exhibits and history of Plymouth County to life.
On May 9 they will be going on a Pioneer Day trip by Kingsley. They will spend the day learning how pioneers survived. They will learn about cooking on the prairie, candle making, pioneer games, and a simulation. Students will even visit a pioneer cemetery!
The students will be out of the building all day for both of the activities. They will need to bring a sack lunch. If any 4th grade parent would like to volunteer to chaperone - please send a message to their classroom teacher.
5th Grade Field Trip
At this time we are working on a schedule and lunch plans. A note will be sent home when everything is finalized.
