Detroit Tigers National Anthem Performance - Saturday, September 9.
- Student Participation - There is currently a waiting list for students who did not sign up for the Tigers game last year. If you would like your child to be put on the waiting list, please email Mr. Root
- Friends/Family Tickets - Tickets in the Family section at Comerica Park are sold out. If you want to attend the game and have not yet secured your tickets, I would encourage you to contact the Tigers Box Office or use StubHub or other ticket resellers.
- Transportation to Comerica - I have not received communication from the Tigers as to what time we need to arrive at Comerica Park. I am tentatively planning on leaving MHS at 2:30p, which will hopefully put us in Detroit around 5pm. If your child has a conflict that requires you to drive them to Comerica Park, I am completely ok with that. Please just know that the Tigers people will only allow the band to enter the stadium once, and if your child isn't there at that time, they will not be able to perform
- Payment - Payment ($35) for participation must be made no later than Tuesday, August 22 (first day of school). If we do not have payment by that date, your child's ticket will be forfeited and will be offered to a student on the waiting list.
- Questions/Concerns - As always, if you have questions or concerns, please reach out to Mr. Root directly - email is best!
TShirt Sponsors Needed - Deadline is Friday, August 11
We are looking for tshirt sponsors for this year's MHS Band tshirts. There are two ways that you can help:
- Full Sponsor (name and logo on back of shirt) - see flyer for details. Sponsorship levels are
- Platinum - $500
- Gold - $300
- Silver - $200
- Bronze - $150
- Individual shirt sponsor - if you don't want to be a full sponsor, you can still help by donating $20 to cover the cost of a tshirt for one student
I appreciate you considering this request and passing it along to friends, families, and local businesses in our area who might be interested. Your financial support is critical to ensuring that all students are able to have a positive experience in the MHS Band - regardless of the financial situation of their family.
The deadline for FULL SPONSORSHIPS is Friday, August 11. If you are interested, please email me at jroot@marshallpublicschools.org with the sponsorship level you'd like and artwork for the logo.
Date Change - '24 MHS Commencement
I have been informed the the date for the Class of 2024 Commencement has been changed to Thursday, May 30 at 7pm. Members of the '24-25 Symphonic Band will provide music for this event. Please adjust your family calendars accordingly.
