A Note from Mrs. Patterson
We have a lot of recognitions to share today!
First, a huge congratulations to Lisa Hyams for being named our Teacher of the Month for January! You can also see all of our Students of the Month below!
Second, I want to give a shout out to all of our students who earned Honor Roll for the 2nd Quarter. Their names are all listed below. Keep up the great work!
Finally, let's give a round of applause to three of our students who earned a perfect score on the SC Ready Math test last year.

It's time to sign up for our February Social Outing. We will be attending various zoos and aquariums throughout SC. I will be attending Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia and would love to see you there! You can sign up below.
Our next Town Hall meeting will be on February 3rd at 10:00 am. We will talk about Academic Integrity.

Assignments are due on the date shown on the assignment calendar. Students have until Sunday at midnight of that week to submit these assignments for full credit. After that, students will have one additional week to submit work for 80% credit. After two weeks, assignments will close.
Elective class assignments can be found on the Assignment Calendars found inside of the course.

Jigsaw and Google
Students, please make sure you are using your SCVCS gmail account when logging into Jigsaw and when you do anything with Google Drive. Some of you are using personal email accounts, which will cause you some issues with accessing live classes or completing assignments using Google. If you need assistance with your Gmail accounts, please contact our tech support at 803-253-6222 and choose Option 5.

8th Grade IGP Meetings
We are holding IGP (Individual Graduation Plan) Meetings for 8th graders to discuss career goals and choose classes for 9th grade. Please schedule a meeting using the link in the IGP email from the counselor.
Time Management Reminders:
· Use a calendar (weekly assignment calendar
· Make a to do list for the day or week
· Follow a routine
· Plan ahead
· Get organized
· Avoid distractions - Phone, TV, Games, Social Media
· Review notes daily
· Set aside a place and time to study.
· Break studying into smaller pieces
· Plan time for: Naps, Activities, Friends/Family, Breaks
