Benefiting Down Syndrome Research and Treatment Foundation
Why we support Down Syndrome Research and Treatment Foundation (DSRTF)
• Participate more successfully in school and employment;
• Lead more active and independent lives; and
• Avoid the early onset of Alzheimer's Disease
Since our founding in 2004, DSRTF has become the leading private source of funding in the U.S., generating more than $8.5 million to support results-driven research to improve cognition in Down syndrome.
Have worn out, torn, even moldy old sneakers and work out shoes? Don't toss them, donate them!
The Civitans are collecting old sneakers to grind down the rubber, which will then be used to make safe playgrounds. In return for the sneakers, the Civilians will be given a $500 check to hand over to a child with Downs Syndrome as a gift in Fauquier or Culpeper Counties.
17 Gift sets or items are being auctioned, with all proceeds after shipping being donated to DSRTF
