OBOB at Palisades
This past weekend our school was represented at the OBOB regional Battle by the Rapid Readers:
Piper Francetich
Parker Tool
Simone Oleson
Penny Cervantes
They battled hard and won a spot in the top 16. They exhibited great sportsmanship and we are so proud of them!
All of our OBOB teams were recognized at a special assembly today where the top two teams, The Rapid Readers and the Undercats, received prizes of books from next year's OBOB list thanks to the PTO.
We look forward to seeing them all battle again next year and to all the new teams that will join us!
Kinder-2nd Grade Concert
Come celebrate the achievements of your students on Thursday, April 27th, at 6:30 pm, gymnasium.
Students from Kindergarten to 2nd grade will be performing special songs for you.
All students K-2 are expected to attend. Students will be wearing their Palisades spirit t-shirt. Parents are expected to stay throughout the whole event.
Please find attached the event's poster.
Openings in Mandarin Chinese Immersion
We will continue accepting applications for both kindergarten and first-grade Mandarin Chinese Immersion from students who reside within the district on a first-come, first-served basis until April 28. On May 5, we will consider adding students who have requested a transfer into LOSD from outside of the district and have applied for our immersion program.
Please see Registration and Transfers on the website for more information.

Reminders from Our District Nurses
Handwashing
While hand sanitizer is a great option, it cannot replace good handwashing. Be sure to wash your hands after using the restroom, sneezing or coughing, or touching your face to help keep our community healthy.
Allergies?
If your student has a health plan that includes an Antihistamine (Benadryl), please be aware that you must provide it. If your child has an allergic reaction or potential exposure to the allergen and you have not provided it, we will have to call 911 per the regulations and guidelines of OHA/ODE/CCESD.
If you would like to speak to your school nurse, click the link below for contact information.
