On Friday 2 June, the College will celebrate St Benedict’s Day (Feast Day). Feast Day is an important day during the school year as we celebrate our core values and beliefs. The day will involve a whole school celebration featuring Mass, Awards, Fundraising Stalls and a “Bennie’s Got Talent” concert.
Students are required to attend school at the normal time in their full winter uniform including blazers. After Mass, students may then change into their sports uniform or clothes featuring their house colour. These clothes must be appropriate and in line with College expectations. Note that students who arrive after Mass without a valid reason may be asked to remain in the College office for the day and may not be permitted to participate in activities.
With relation to Bennie’s Bucks, a Compass Event has already been sent out allowing parents to purchase ‘bundles’ for their children in $5, $10 or $20 amounts. Parents can purchase one of each dollar bundle per child. We strongly encourage parents to pre purchase Bennie's Bucks as on the day the lines for paying in either cash or eftpos* are huge! All pre-purchased tickets will be handed out to students during Strive on Friday. Please note, online purchases close Wednesday 31 May at 11.59pm.
Further, starting from 7:45am students will be able to purchase extra Bennie’s Bucks with either cash or eftpos (phones returned to lockers once purchase made). Stalls will only accept Bennie’s Bucks. These Bucks will be required to purchase food items and participate in activities throughout the day. Make sure students take note of all the posters around the school as to what they can purchase and where.
Please be aware that the Café/Canteen will be closed on Friday.
All money raised will be donated to a charity. Further, no refunds will be available for Bennie’s Bucks and all money purchased will be considered a donation.
