The Leopard Tale

May 2022

Principal's Points

May 2022 has arrived! The last few weeks have been filled with celebrations and events such as the PTO dance, career day, book tasting, meet the principal, day of awesomeness, and more. We are finally getting back to some of the fun activities that we could not have due to the pandemic. It has been amazing to see the joy and smiling faces as we welcome our parents/community back into the school. Thank you for your involvement, and I can't wait for the 2022-2023 school year. I hope that you all have the opportunity to spend time with family and friends this summer.

We have quite a collection of found items that we have on display in the cafeteria. Students will have an opportunity each day during lunch to look through the items to reclaim things that belong to them. All items not collected by the last day of school will be donated to the District Clothing Closet. Please remind your child to look for missing items. Thank you for your support.

Nurse's News

Dear Families,

As the school year ends, I want to inform you that this will be my last year at Andre' Elementary. It has been my pleasure serving as the School Nurse for the last few school years. Thank you for allowing me to care for your children through the unknown territory that the pandemic brought. I want to thank each student for all the warmth, the memories, and the resiliency they exhibited throughout my tenure. They will forever be in my heart!

Parents, if your child has medication in the clinic, please pick it up by Thursday, May 26 or it will be discarded per CFISD policy.

Attention Pre-K Families:

An immunization update is required for all students attending Kindergarten next school year. Please make sure your child has received their 4-year-old immunizations (DTAP, Polio, MMR, and Varicella) prior to the start of next school year. Students who have not provided updated immunization record to the school nurse by the first day of school will not be permitted in school. I have included several resources to assist with obtaining immunizations. Immunization records may be emailed to the school nurse at or call the clinic at (281)463-5505 with any questions.

Healthfully Yours,

Ursula Staten BSN, RN
