AUTOMATED CALLS REGARDING STUDENT ABSENCES
Beginning Monday January 24, an automated phone call and email will be sent to parents or guardians if their child is absent for the day. The calls will go out between 10:00 and 11:00 AM. This automated call will only be sent to parents and guardians if you have not reported your child's absence to the school before 10:00 am. If you receive the message, please contact our school to excuse the absence.
NEED CLASSROOM VOLUNTEERS FOR KINDER AND THIRD GRADE
We need classroom volunteers to help with our kindergarten and 3rd grade classrooms.
For kindergarten, we need volunteers Monday through Friday from 11:00 to 11:35. If you can only help 1 or 2 days, that is fine. You would be helping in the classroom with the teacher.
For 3rd grade, we need help from 2:30-3:25 on Monday and Thursday. You would be helping the teacher work with students on math.

CANDY BAR FUNDRAISER INFORMATION
Parents and students!
Shadow Butte launched its World's Finest Chocolate fundraiser on Monday, January 31st with a kick-off assembly. Students checked out cases, with parent permission, and will sell $1 chocolate bars to family and friends. Some of the cases are specially marked to win $50. Please look for the parent permission slip sent home in the Monday folder.
Proceeds will help fix/update our school reader board. When we reach $10,000 in funds raised, Dr. Nava will dress like a hamburger.
Bonus: If you have family and friends who live across the US, they can purchase products from our online store and have it shipped directly to their front door. All you need to do is register your students and share the store with them.
Register now at www.shopfund.com and start sending out messages.
Thank you so much for your support. - Shadow Butte
DRESS UP WEDNESDAYS
NOTE FROM THE NURSE
Key Points from District COVID protocol:
Confirmed COVID positive staff and students must remain home for at least 5 days since the first symptoms began AND be fever free (under 100.4) without the use of fever-reducing medications for 24 hours AND improvement of symptoms
Masking upon return is strongly recommended. Staff still have the ability to require masks of students when in close proximity.
Students and staff, who have been notified of possible close contact exposure, will be asked to conduct a daily Home Health Screening Checklist for symptoms. Students and staff who exhibit symptoms may not attend school while exhibiting symptoms.
Students who exhibit symptoms at school will be isolated and parents will be called to pick up their students
