Principal's Corner

I hope this newsletter finds you healthy and happy! Maple is wrapping up our second quarter of the 2020/2021 school year this week! We have had a very busy month! I wanted to share some highlights of the month with you!

Beanstack Reading Challenge:

Maple School is piloting a new reading program that encourages independent reading with staff and students alike! Beanstack is an online program that allows teachers and students to track their reading minutes and earn badges throughout the year. Students can even log their reading at home via the mobile app. Please see the flier to set up the mobile app at home to promote further reading!

Beanstack mobile app information:

You can also visit Maple's Beanstack URL at

Help your children earn their badges for reading! You can log their independent reading or you can log the time or books you read with them! GET YOUR READ ON!!!!

Christmas Break Clean Up:

Christmas break is a wonderful time to wash up those coats, bookbags, etc., that tend to get pretty dirty over the weeks. This will assist us with keeping germs at bay at Maple.

Food Pantry Donation:

Maple students and staff collected food to donate to the Hoopeston Food Pantry this month. This was part of our holiday celebration events.
