Faculty Meeting
June 4, 2019
Business
Please read the following before the meeting, any questions will be answered at the start of the meeting.
- Students in Grade 6 have proposed that Grandparent's Day be held in the afternoon next year. The Leadership Team discussed this proposal yesterday and did not see any issue with the change.
- Professional Learning draft plan is attached below. We will not discuss it in detail at our meeting, but please take a look.
- I would like to try holding one formal observation next year for all certified staff in place of three informal observations, no matter where you are on the cycle. This format was recommended by a colleague, and I am hoping that it will open up time for more frequent walkthroughs.
- If you have any of the following at home and would like to purge, we are looking for items to fill our middle school lounge: board games, decks of cards, drawing materials, or other fun activities the students can do during their time in the room.
- All certified staff should plan to stay for a complete workday on June 18. We will be working a half day on June 19.
Some notes from the May/upcoming June board meeting
- Out of district tuition was approved for $4500 a student. Each additional sibling will be charged $2250.
- CrisisGo (emergency preparedness program) will likely be approved for purchase at tomorrow night's meeting- we will discuss this program and training in the fall.
- Illustrative Math was approved by the BOE to use in grades 6-8.
- Meetings for the Entryway security project will begin this summer.
