November Events
Jog a Thon We didn't let the rain slow us down as students ran laps and enjoyed popsicles - all while raising money to support our Foundation! | 4th Grade Field Trip Our 4th graders visited Mission San Juan Capistrano to support their studies of California history. | 2nd Grade Field Trip Our 2nd graders visited the Aquarium of the Pacific. This field trip was not possible last year when these students were in 1st grade, so the 2nd-grade teachers arranged a visit this year! |

More November Events
Superintendent Sinnette as King George III Ms. Sinnette played the king and had fun with her 5th-grade tax collectors demanding money from the loyal (and angry) colonists. | Mrs. Blaney as King George III Mrs. Blaney got to play the king, as well, and her tax collectors were just as helpful in collecting the hard-earned wages of the loyal (and angry) colonists. | Kindergarteners in the Tech Lab Our Tech Lab has a new look, and students have flexible seating to work on their skills. Here, our Kindergarteners are using Chromebooks, just like the big kids! |

Fourth Grade Writing Our 4th graders are working on narrative writing. Here, they are learning how to write a strong introductory paragraph. | LCHS Chamber Singers The Chamber Singers visited and held an assembly for the 5th and 6th graders and sang outside the classrooms for the rest of the students. | Stone Soup 2nd graders read different versions of the story and then cooperated to make their own stone soup. I got the honor of placing the (very clean) stone in the pot. |

Parent-Child Lunch Friday, Dec. 2

Arrive by 11:20 a.m. for the 1st Grade Lunch.
Arrive by 11:25 a.m. for the 2nd Grade Lunch.
Arrive by 11:55 a.m. for the 3rd and 4th Grade Lunch.
Arrive by 12:25 p.m. for the 5th and 6th Grade Lunch.
The arrival times are slightly before the start of the lunch periods to give you time to find parking and to support our students who may worry about you if you are not present when lunch begins.
Make arrangements for where to meet your children. Consider carpooling or parking off-site and walking. Understand that lines may be long at local fast-food establishments. If you ordered Jersey Mike's, those lunches will be available in the lunch pavilion that day. Our school lunches are available, as well (free for students only).
The Book Fair is in the cafeteria, and parents can bring their children into the cafeteria after lunch for some shopping.
Cross your fingers that it will be a dry day, and I hope to see you on Friday! Please be aware that this is not the only opportunity for a Parent-Child Lunch this year. We are planning for one on April 13 and one on May 11.
