Exam Schedule
In order to study effectively, it is important to know which exam you will be taking each day! Make sure to be present at school on the days leading up to exams, so that you can participate in review sessions hosted by your teachers.
Jan 15- Wednesday: 1st Block Exam
Jan 16- Thursday: 3rd Block Exam
Jan 17- Friday: 2nd Block Exam
Jan 20- Monday: No School—Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday
Jan 21- Tuesday: 4th Block Exam
Jan 22- Wednesday: Regular Schedule; Exam Make up Day
Jan 23- Thursday: No School –Teacher Workday
Jan 24- Friday: No School - Teacher Workday
Jan 27- Monday: School resumes—Start of the Second SemesterStudy Tips
- Start early; procrastination is not your friend
- Make a study schedule, and use study guides as needed
- Make connections to help you remember the information
- Study with a friend if you can stay focused on the task at hand
- Eat and drink healthy foods to maintain energy
- Take a break to relax
Manage Your Stress in Healthful Ways
Exams can be overwhelming, resulting in high levels of stress and anxiety. Consider the following for reducing unhelpful thoughts and actions. More importantly, reach out to an adult you trust for support and encouragement.
- Take time for self-care such as listening to favorite music, going for a walk, or practicing meditation
- Substitute negative thinking with positive affirmations
- Take exams one day at a time (literally and figuratively!!)
- Set realistic goals
- Stay balanced during exam periods
