September 2016: A Tribute to Saint Teresa of Calcutta

"Do Small Things With Great Love"

Mrs. Vanderhoof's fourth grade class used this famous quote from Saint Teresa of Calcutta, and applied it to their own lives in the form of writing. Here is the connection that Clara made from this quote:

"My friend Anabel showed compassion when I fell down. I was playing on the slide at my old school and I fell and scraped my elbow and my knee. I was crying. The teacher gave me an ice pack and a big Band-Aid. It was at the beginning of recess so there was a lot more time and I had to sit down. Anabel sat down with me for the rest of recess".

Here at St. Timothy School, we make writing a top priority. Our Six Traits writing program encourages students to think creatively, and to write in great detail. It sounds like fourth grade is off to a great start!

Scantron Testing Information

As most of you are well aware, this year we have shifted away from the Terra Nova testing format, and are diving into Scantron testing. There are a lot of perks that come from this new form of testing. We at Saint Timothy School firmly believe that this testing furthers our initiative towards an individualized approach to education.

Below is a link that can answer a lot of your testing questions.
