Course Overview
Managing the succession of talent is a vital strategic process that minimizes gaps in leadership and enables your best people to develop the skills necessary for possible future roles. Geared for leaders in pay grades 22 and above, this offering is comprehensive and hands-on. It will support your department with identifying leaders to fill vacancies, using HEAR behavioral factors to assess competencies and creating learning plans to close skill gaps. The intent of the program is to introduce key concepts and provide application tools to help departments improve the outcomes associated with recruiting, hiring and developing talent.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the importance of a succession plan
- Identify key positions and learn how to develop individuals to fit in those positions
- Discuss and apply core competencies to assist in building a talent pool
