Thank you to all the parents and students who attended the showing of Screenagers. Here are a few tips for parents:

Fall Fest is next week, and our fantastic Fall Fest committee has another fun event planned for our community. Here are a couple reminders:
- Orders for the delicious Vietnamese egg rolls are due Friday, October 18th. Please find the order form at the bottom of this edition of Eagle’s Eye.

- All room moms have requested for families to donate items toward their class’ basket.
- SLA will not be providing lunch on the day of the Fall Fest. All students will need to bring a lunch on Friday, October 25th.
No Aftercare October 25
Parents are reminded that aftercare is not offered the day of the Fall Fest, October 25. All students must be picked up at 2pm. Parents will need to park and pick their child(ren) up from the classroom. PreK aftercare will be available from 12pm-2pm.
Eighth Grade Parent Meeting
There will be a meeting for all eighth grade parents on Tuesday, October 22 at 6pm in the parish center. It is important that at least one parent of each eighth grader attends this meeting.
Dress Down Day Tomorrow/Service Project – Socktober
Socks are one of the most needed items for homeless shelters. Tomorrow, any student who brings in a NEW pair of adult socks may dress down and wear crazy socks.
The Betty Bloeth Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society recently held officer elections from among its members for the 2019-2020 school year. Elected to officer positions are: Colin 8th-President, Elle 8th-Vice President, Stefanni 8th-Secretary, Noah 8th-Treasurer, Leo 8th-Historian, and Tessa 7th-Parliamentarian. Congratulations to these students. The members discussed plans for a variety of activities for the school year that would support the school, raise funds for donations, and serve the students.
Pep Rally and Volleyball Game
On Friday, October 25th at 1:00pm, we will have our Fall Pep Rally. At the pep rally, we will introduce the boys’ soccer and girls’ volleyball teams. The teachers will play the varsity girls volleyball team in a fun volleyball game.
Orange for Cystic Fibrosis
In loving memory of Carrie and Neil Haas, children of Mrs. Polkowski, who passed away from Cystic Fibrosis, our school is invited to dress in orange on Friday, October 25. $1 suggested donation will be donated towards research and advancements in finding a cure for CF.
Trunk or Treat
Parents needed to decorate their trunks and hand out candy for our annual Trunk or Treat for grades K-2 on Thursday, October 31at 1:00pm
Please remember that Halloween celebrations vary across grade levels. Students will still be participating in normal classes throughout much of the day. Parents are asked to please refrain from sending in treats unless it is prearranged with the homeroom teacher. Additionally, for those students who are wearing costumes, students are not permitted to carry any accessories for their costumes. Thank you for your support with this.

O Blessed Joseph, faithful guardian of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ, protector of Mary, the virgin Mother of God, I choose you this day to be my special patron and advocate and I firmly resolve to honor you all the days of my life. Therefore I humbly ask you to receive me as your client, to instruct me in every doubt, to comfort me in every affliction, to obtain for me and for all the knowledge and love of the Heart of Jesus, and finally to defend and protect me at the hour of my death.
