The American Dream is something unique to the United States. Where else can you go from poor to wealthy? Where else can you turn hard work into a lifetime of luxury and success? The answer is only in America of course!

Become A Citizen- Its Worth It!

Even though you have to fill out a bit of paperwork, pass a test, and make sure you know English, it is completely worth it in order to become a United States Citizen!

Benefits of Becoming a Citizen

The Process of Naturalization

1. Ask yourself "Am I already a citizen?"

If one or both of your parents are already a United States citizen or if you were born in the United States, you may very well already be a citizen.

2. How Eligible Are You?

Generally, if you are over 18 years old and have lived in the United States for 5 years (3 if you are married to a US citizen) and meet all other requirements. You could very well be on your way to being citizen!

3. Paperwork

Next, it is time to fill out some paperwork that includes a picture of you, naturalization application, and a medical report/ history information among other documents.

4. Your History

You will new need to go to an appointment where they will complete a criminal background check. All applicants must have this done before they can schedule their naturalization interview.

5. Complete the Interview

Once all the preliminary processes on your case are complete an interview will be scheduled with you to complete the naturalization process. It is very important not to miss your interview.

6. Oath of Allegianc

Once you have been approved to become a citizen of the United States you must participate in the Oath of Allegiance Ceremony, officially making you a citizen!

Protection

As a United States Citizen you are protected by our expansive army and defense systems. All men must enter into the draft at age 18 to say they will be willing to fight for America if the need arises.
