Learning to Code
Learning to code is a hot topic in education. It requires that students use critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity.
Many schools are introducing code through Hour of Code events and Makerspace projects. Some schools, like NBHS, teach Code in classes and offer it for a Foreign Language for students seeking STEM endorsements. Whatever courses you teach, you can incorporate code in some way or just as a fun activity.
Websites like code.org offer free games for learning code by using Blockly, a drag and drop platform for writing code.
This great article from PC Magazine lists more options for learning code through free and paid websites and apps.
