Big picture

Parents and Guardians, Thank you for your incredible support this year! We hope you enjoy summer and make wonderful memories. To our fifth grade students and families, you will be missed. We wish you all the best at JMMS! We know you will represent Lake Cable in the best way possible. To our families relocating, best of luck to you in your new journey. To our students returning in August, we look forward to having you back with us at Lake Cable for another exciting school year. Thank you again for your partnership this year.

May 25 Last Day of School

We will continue our tradition of the last day (May 25) of school being a half day. On the last day of school, students will be dismissed at 12:20 pm with the intent that buses exit the parking lot at 12:25 pm. Parent pick-up will begin at 12:15 pm.

Youth Robotics Camp

If you have elementary or middle school-aged children interested in science or math, please see this flyer for the week-long youth robotics summer camp that the JHS Robotics Club is sponsoring here in June, facilitated by the youth robotics expert team at One Byte At A Time. Campers in grades 2-8 will learn to build, program, and test their own robot design. Spaces are limited and the price is GREAT!

Supply Lists and Student Calendar for 22-23 School Year

Beginning May 26, 22-23 student supply lists will be posted here on our school's homepage. On the last day of school, students will also bring home a hard copy of the supply list along with their progress report and a copy of the 22-23 district calendar.

Summer is Coming

It is hard to believe that we are in the final stretch of the school year and summer is on its way. What are your children planning to do this summer? Here is a list of resources to get you started. There are links to family friendly events, sports, camps, and activities in our area. In addition, here is a list of other local resources. If your child would benefit from a summer program, and it is not affordable for your family, please don’t hesitate to contact our Family Support Specialist , Kathy Yaros (330-837-3501 x1769) to see if there is assistance available.

Devices G3, G4, G5

Students completing grades 3, 4, and 5 who will be enrolled in Jackson Local during the 22-23 school year will bring home their devices, cases, and chargers for the summer. Please help your child keep track of these materials. As a rule of thumb, the computer should ALWAYS stay in its case.

Summer Technology Resources

Parents have asked about the summer availability of the technology resources that your child utilized throughout the school year. Polaris will become inaccessible once school ends. However, Clever will be available until June 30. Most students are quite comfortable accessing the digital resources their teachers have linked in Clever. Below are the subscription resources your child can continue to access throughout the summer.

Big Universe

BrainPop/BrainPop jr

InfOhio (access through library)

Starfall and Happy Numbers (Kindergarten Only)
