Pre-K 2's Weekly Review

What We Have Learned

We have completed our first week on our topic, Frozen: An Exploration on Snow and Ice. We have made snowmen and tossed snowballs at each other in our sensory table. In the gym the class enjoyed an exciting game of Snowman Smash. Our Math and manipulative center was full of counting snowball, creating snowflake patterns and working on Frozen puzzles. A few of the student even use our "dry snowballs" in blocks as an avalanche that needed to be cleared away.

Letter Kk and Numbers 15-20 Spotlight

This week we focused on the letter Kk and on some Kk vocabulary. When prompted, the class began thinking of words that begin with and contain the letter Kk. We made letter K's with our Frozen slime.

The class practiced counting puzzle pieces up to number 20 and beyond. During our snowman family art, each child was asked how many eyes, noses, hands, hats, etc. was needed to complete each of the three snowmen on their project.
