OUR NEXT DANCE IS FEBRUARY 3RD!

Dance tickets will be sold at both lunches Monday thru Friday. $5 with an ASB card and $6 without an ASB card.

ATTENTION ALL 8TH GRADERS!

Remember to turn your High School Visit permission slip in to Ms. Martin in the counseling office as soon as possible. To attend the field trip, you MUST turn one in. If you need another permission slip, please see Ms. Martin and she will print one out for you.

Are you thinking about your future career? Come to Career Trek at Butte College. Saturday, February 25th, 8:30am to 3:00pm. Please come by the Counseling office and pick up an application and get more information on this great opportunity.

Professional: 12 years Teaching: 6 years High School History & Health, 5 years Middle/High School PE, 1 Year k-6 ASP Coordinator. Coaching: 8 years Varsity Girls Volleyball, 7 years Varsity Girls Softball Westminster & Lompoc High School.


Personal: Born & raised in Chico, I returned home summer of 2015 after going to college and working in Orange County & the Bay Area for 13 years. In my spare time I enjoy spending time at the gym, with my family, practicing jiu jitsu, DIY projects & taking my pit-bulls to Upper Bidwell Park.

EMPTY BOWLS TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW!

Would you like hot soup and to have an opportunity to help others? The 16th annual Empty Bowls Fundraising Dinner will be held Thursday February 23th in the Chico High School Cafe / Lincoln Center. This meal is sponsored by CUTA/CUSD/Noon Rotary. $12 advance tickets ($15 at the door) include a student-made ceramic bowl, soup made by a variety of local restaurants, bread, and water; dessert and coffee can be purchased separately. Purchase your tickets for either the 5:00 or 6:30 seating in the main office at Bidwell, Zucchini & Vine, or Christian & Johnson. The proceeds of this event will benefit the Torres Community Shelter.

All of the students in Ms. Katsikas' class were involved in a STEAM activity of baking soda and vinegar. The chemical reaction and the blending of colors captivated everyone!

Did you reserve a copy of this year’s yearbook? There are only 50 yearbooks left before we are COMPLETELY sold out! So if you were planning on buying a yearbook this year, rush into the Student Payments Office, Room 406A and reserve yours ASAP. The price is now $50.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS

Now that we have had a week to settle into the new semester, the main office will no longer be sending out blue passes to inform you if you have a delivery such as a lunch, PE clothes or homework. Instead, we ask that you come check in the main office if you think you may have a delivery.

HEART AND SOLE RETURNS!

Heart and Sole, which is part of Girls on the Run, is starting up again soon. Girls, please come by the counseling office for an application and more information about the Heart and Sole program. The program begins the week of February 6th and runs through the week of May 8th. You can also go online at www.gotrnorthstate.org to register. This is a great club to belong to, don’t miss out!

CJSF MEMBERS

Here is a great opportunity to apply for a Scholarship. CJSF members receive $250 if selected as Marian Huhn Recipients. Applications are available online, check out this link! Deadline is February 18th, but don’t wait too long!


NOT A MEMBER? CJSF applications are now available to 7th and 8th grade students in the counseling office for 2nd Semester. Please come by and pick one up and learn more about CJSF (California Junior Scholarship Federation) Applications are due back to the counseling office by February 10th, 3 pm.
