What We're Learning This Week
Math: Students will review math facts.
Writing: Students will generate ideas for writing.
Reading: Students will learn reader's workshop procedures and how to pick a just right book.
Science: Students will set up their science notebooks and review the scientific process
Social Studies: Students will review good citizenship and learn about their community.

Important Information!
- Writers Notebooks: Please send back ASAP if you have not done so already
- Spirit Shop: Spirit shop will be open every Friday this semester from 10:00-1:00
- Transportation Changes- If you need to make a change to the way your child is getting home, please send me an email. If it is a change that needs to happen that day, please call the office and they will let me know. I check my email as frequently as I can, but often times, I do not get to check my email after the kids walk in my door until after school. This is due to meetings and conferences during my planning period.
- Supply Fee- Please log into Skyward and complete your child's supply fee payment

- Snack Time: Our lunch is last this year! Please bring a healthy, simple, finger food (no spoons or forks) snack to eat while working. May not contain nuts or be produced in the same facility as other products with nuts.
- Remember to wear athletic shoes on PE days (or bring some to change into).
Reminders for Parents
Please make sure to update changed contact information in Skyward!
- Please make sure to check your child's lunch account funds.
Please contact the office for any day of transportation changes.
- Please contact the office to report your child's absence to ensure the absence is recorded correctly.
- Please have your student to school on time. They miss important classroom time when they are tardy. The tardy bell rings at 7:55.
- If your emergency contact information changes, be sure to let your teacher know as well as make changes in Skyward.
- If a child is riding the bus home and it requires the Alternate Transportation form, it MUST BE completed by noon.
- All Birthday Treats must be store bought, have an ingredient label, and may not contain nuts or be processed in the same facilities as nut products. You can also purchase treats from the cafe with a weeks notice!
- Parents can only bring lunch for their own child/children.
