Report Cards Distributed on Monday, November 14th
Please find attached the following items that will need to be included in the envelope before scholars take their individual envelope home:
1. Report Card Envelope – (This envelope should be signed and returned to the teacher the next day.)
2. Report Card – (Parent/Guardian should keep the report card for their own records)
3. Last year EOG score – (Parent/Guardian should keep the EOG report for their own records)
4. Spartan Buzz Flyer – (Parent/Guardian should keep the flyer for resource information from our counselors and Communities in School.
Instruction:
1. Please ensure all items are in the appropriate individual envelope.
2. Please ask all scholars to return their individual “SIGNED” envelope (by their parent/Guardian) to you the next day. (This is a great time to earn SPARTAN BUCKS and FREE HOMEWORK PASSES.)
3. EOG Letter – if the scholar didn’t received an EOG letter, they will receive it at a later date.
4. Repot cards should be disbursed on Monday, November 14, 2016: (END OF DAY in HOMEROOM) – Mr. Turner will inform all teachers of the transition on Monday. (6th and 7th grade will continue their daily transition to homeroom.)
5. Scholar Early Dismissal on Monday - The front office will ask the grade level BMT to retrieve the scholar report card from their home room teacher and bring to the office.
6. Please keep all returned signed envelops in a safe place in your classroom.
7. Non-pick up report cards and EOG’s – please return to Ms. Mason on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016.

Authentic Engagement Definition—Students are immersed in work that has clear
meaning and immediate value to them.
The four themes supporting authentic student engagement are:
- An activity that involves real-world problems and that mimics the work of professionals; the activity involves presentation of findings to audiences beyond the classroom.
- Use of open-ended inquiry, thinking skills and meta-cognition.

Service Learning Experience
The following Montessori students will participate in the Community Food Drive on Monday, November 14 from 2:50 - 3:50 by dispersing collection bags in the Sedgefield Community. They will be collected on Tuesday, November 22, from 2:50 - 3:50. They have all brought in signed Parental Permission Slips to walk in the neighborhood.
The students will be escorted by Mr. Fitzgerald. He will be supported by Brian Williams. Officer Coronel was also notified and may supply support.
