Star of Texas Credit Union Education Scholarship for High School Seniors
Award: (3) @ $1,000 each

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Graduating high school senior residing in Travis County or be a child or grandchild of a Star of Texas Credit Union member residing outside Travis County but within the state of Texas
• Plan to enroll at an accredited college or career-tech school
• Citizen or permanent resident of the United States of America

Patton Elementary Scholarship
Award: (4) @ $500 each
Due: 3/28
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Current graduating AISD High School seniors
• Attended Patton Elementary School in Austin, TX for at least one year
Applicants are scored on academic achievement, financial need, extra-curricular activities, and an essay.
To be considered for this scholarship, ALL items MUST be completed, signed and received by NOON on the last Thursday in March at PATTON Elementary, 6001 Westcreek Drive, Austin, TX 78749.
SUBMIT: • Completed and signed Application • Official SEALED high school transcript with GPA • One-page essay.
ANNUAL DEADLINE: Noon, last Thursday in March.

Austin Retired Teachers Assoc. Foundation Honorary and Memorial Scholarship
Award: (13) @ $1,000 ea. (one scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from each high school in AISD)
Timeline:
4/1: Due date for students interested in applying for this opportunity to submit their application to their high school counseling office.
4/5: Due date for college and career advisors to forward the chosen application to the ARTA Foundation.
AISD graduating seniors are eligible.
Qualifications:
1) Commitment to enroll as an education major.
2) Evidence of ability to complete college requirements.
3) Financial need.
One scholarship will be awarded to each Austin Independent High School. LBJ High School and LASA will need to choose one recipient between the 2 campuses.
The scholarship recipient shall be chosen by the scholarship committee of the high school from which the student will graduate. The Austin Retired Teachers Association Foundation DOES NOT choose the student.
Each high school shall forward the chosen application to the ARTA Foundation by April 5, 2019. Students interested in applying for this opportunity should submit their application to their high school counseling office by April 1, 2019, in order to be considered for this opportunity.

Mexican American School Boards Association Scholarship
Award: $200 scholarship to a student of every MASBA district throughout Texas.

Jim Kester Memorial Scholarship Fund
Award: 1 @ $1,500 / 2 @ $1,000
Due: 4/12
Scholarship awarded to a student displaying unique goals and optimistic outlook on their future. The CARY Jim Kester Scholarship Fund is open to AISD graduating high school seniors who are pursuing higher education. Students who have participated in CARY programming will be given first consideration. The fund awards an individual who is capable of dreaming big and carrying out their dreams.

Austin Optimist Club Scholarship
Award: (10) @ $1,500 each
Timeline:
4/23 - Deadline for students to submit their complete application packets to their campus College and Career Advisor.
5/1 - Deadline for campuses to email their nominees to Mr. Guajardo at hector.guajardo@ci.irs.gov
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT:
• Graduating AISD high school seniors (children of Optimist members are not eligible).
SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING TO YOUR COLLEGE AND CAREER ADVISOR:
• Completed and signed AISD Application (counselor will need to complete FOR OFFICE USE ONLY section)
• One Essay (see application for essay topics)
• Official high school transcript WITH test scores
• Letter of Recommendation from a teacher or counselor
To be considered for this opportunity, your complete application packet must be submitted to your campus college and career advisor by April 23, 2019.
NOTE TO COLLEGE AND CAREER ADVISORS: Applications will be accepted for 1 male student and 1 female student per campus. You may email the application packets to Mr. Guajardo at hector.guajardo@ci.irs.gov . Campuses are to have their nominees to Mr. Guajardo by May 1, 2019.

MONTHLY/QUARTERLY SWEEPSTAKES & CONTESTS
Marine Corps Career & Technical Education Scholarships
Award: $1,500, $2,500, $5,000, $7,500, or $10,000 per academic year
Due: The CTE scholarship application is available all year and applications are processed every month.
This scholarship is for children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen pursuing a post-secondary education at any school listed on the National Center for Education Statistic’s College Navigator website at https://nces.ed.gov/collegenavigator/. The scholarships are need-based, and scholarships are awarded to every eligible applicant.

Award: $2,000 - The scholarship will be paid in $500.00 increments over four semesters at Amarillo College.

• Must be a Theatre major at Amarillo College

• Current major or intent to major in civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental science, soil science, biology, hydrogeology, architecture, landscape architecture, or a related field.
