Late Start Monday β November 15th - 9:55 a.m.
On these days, homeroom starts one hour later, 9:55 a.m., than usual for students so that faculty and staff can participate in Professional Learning opportunities and work together to improve teaching skills and the academic performance of students. Buses continue to operate on the regular schedule during late start dates; however, parents also can choose to transport their child to school by the scheduled later start time (exactly one hour later than normal).
Students who arrive early will participate in supervised activities until the school day begins.

- I used to be a computer programmer.
An interesting fact about me: I lived in 5 different countries on 4 different continents π
Meet Kristen Barksdale, Our 7th Grade Language Arts Teacher.
- I started at AMMS in August of 2012.
- I also worked at Haynes Bridge MS.
- I have worked for Fulton County Schools for almost 19 years.
- Fun/Interesting fact about me: I love reading, hiking, camping, and spending time with family. After a seven-year absence, I have jumped back into the sport of triathlon. Although I am slow as a turtle and will never podium, I love the time racing and the feeling of accomplishment at the end.

FCS COVID 19 Reporting Procedures
FCS COVID 19 Reporting
Due to the ever-changing nature of this pandemic, the district will continue to monitor COVID data and recommendations, consult with public health officials, and make additional adjustments as necessary. If your child is sick, please keep them home. Families are still required to report a confirmed positive case of COVID-19, a pending COVID-19 test result (regardless of the reason for testing), and a direct contact with a person who is COVID-19 positive. FCS student/parents must use the Parent Reporting Portal to make the COVID-19 report.
