The Floral Falcon Flyer
June 12, 2022
Photo and Video of the Week - We all loved field day! The video linked below shows Mr. Lane, long term substitute PE teacher, high-fiving students as they arrived at school on Friday morning. Can you feel the excitement? Thank you to Mr. Daniello, Mr. Lane and Mrs. Smith for making this joyful event possible. Appreciation to all of the teachers, staff, and volunteers who led the games (and played many of them)!
Dear Floral Families,
This Tuesday is a special day- we celebrate our fourth grade students as they reach an important milestone in their lives - the end of elementary school and the start of their middle school years. We look forward to having fourth grade families join us at this year's Fourth Grade Celebration on Tuesday starting at 9:45am.
Please click HERE for more information about the morning of the Celebration.
Please click HERE for the Grade 4 Celebration Program.
Please click HERE for information about your child's lunch and ice cream treat that day.
Guess who else is reaching a milestone and heading to Sherwood Middle School next year? It's Ms. Martino! Tracy Martino, beloved music teacher, will be moving to a similar role at Sherwood in the fall. This is truly bittersweet for the Floral community, as Tracy's love for Floral students, Floral traditions, and Floral people is woven into the fabric of our school community. We will miss her! Our students are coming to the realization that they will be seeing Ms. Martino again when it is their turn to journey off to middle school. I know you all join me in thanking Tracy for all she has done during her many years at Floral to make this a special and joyfully musical community.
Finally, as this is our last issue of the Falcon Flyer for the school year, we want to express our deep appreciation to all parents and caregivers for partnering with the Floral staff to support a year of much growth for your children- academically, socially, and emotionally. Thank you for letting us call your children ours. :)
Wishing you all a healthy and joyful summer.
Sincerely,
Lisa and Gina
P.S. We added Open House and Curriculum Night dates to the bottom of this issue.
