Tertiary Interventions:
-For a few students
-Intensive, individualized, long-term interventions
-More individualized instruction along with separate curriculum and instruction methods
Secondary Interventions:
-For some students
-Might include: Small group academic or behavioral instruction, mentors, frequent reminders and feedback about expected behavior
-Could also include social skills instruction
Primary (Universal) Interventions:
-Intended for all students
-Includes: Schoolwide rules and procedures, teaching expectations, acknowledgement of appropriate behaviors, consistent responses to inappropriate behavior

Examples:
Tertiary - Child as hand should be individually evaluated and observed for a period of time so that specific needs can be met in order to work towards a better education experience.
Secondary - Child may need to be pulled aside for a specific subject of difficulty such as math lessons.
Primary - Giving every student the same set of expectations at the start of the school year.
