Student, Staff & Parent Mission: Each day this week, write a note to a classmate, your child, your students, or a colleague. This hand-written note could be a note of thanks, affirmation, or just a nice "Hello." We want everyone to feel connected to another person this week. Let's celebrate, and show how much we value our relationships!

Calling for all Literacy Bus Books to be Returned!
If your child received a delivery of books during the shutdown this past spring, please return them to school as soon as possible! We are still missing many books! We would like to restock our bus and have it ready to go for next summer!

RECESS DRESS CODE REVIEW
There have been some issues with the dress requirements for recess. As we begin to ride the temperature roller coaster (mostly down!) that is the norm here in West Michigan, it is a good time to review the recess dress code.
All students must wear snow pants, coat, and boots to go off the paved areas of the playground when there is snow on the ground or if it is muddy. Also, as the weather and temperature fluctuate our policy for outdoor gear is as follows:
50’s-Jackets are suggested, but optional
40’s-Jackets, coat, sweatshirt, or sweater required
30’s-Coat, hat, gloves, boots, & snow pants required.
We use the wind chill temperature to determine the dress requirements. The office will inform
the students when the temperature is questionable.
This is an Immense Red Oak Leaf!
EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION
It is extremely important to have up-to-date contact information available for each student. When emergencies arise, we need to be able to contact parents/guardians. This is also the contact information that is used for school closures and district updates.
Please log in to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to check that your contact information is current and to make any necessary changes. If you need assistance or login information for the Parent Portal, please contact the Dix Street OfficeThank You!
