WHAT IS ACE?
Our Vision
La Joya ISD ACE Program’s vision is to provide a safe, meaningful and recreational after school environment where students will achieve educational excellence.
Our Mission
The La Joya ISD ACE Program believes that all ACE students should have the opportunity to develop academic, social, and career readiness skills that will prepare them for the 21st century. By integrating the use of technology through a variety of innovative academic and enrichment activities, students will reach and excel at their full potential and become productive leaders of our community
CENTER NEEDS AND GOALS
Needs
- students not achieving a passing level on STAAR test.
-Student attendance rate is below 97%
-low percentage of parental involvement
-On average a large percentage of parents have difficulty helping students with homework due to language barrier.
-lack of technology resources to promote student learning
-Behavior issues and referrals in the classroom
Goals
-Increase Academic Performance in STAAR test for 3rd 4th and 5th grade students that attend ACE regularly
-Focus on college and career readiness activities
-Decrease absences by providing engaging and student interest activities.
-Increase parental involvement
-Provide Technology resources to enhance and promote student learning.
-Decrease behavior problems in classroom by providing student interest activities.
