A note from Mrs. Satterfield--GES Librarian
Thursdays should be Library Day, but none of us can get there right now! I hope the Mountain Lion and the Golden Eagle are keeping an eye on our books. I also hope that you are healthy and READING everyday!
1 .Maybe some of you have found the books you checked out before all of this-read them again NOW.
2. We are working with the Plumas County Library to get you each a FREE Book TO KEEP in your next packet.
3. I also want to let you know about free books to read and be read to you on the internet since all libraries are closed right now. Go to the Plumas County Library website (www.plumasounty.us/2672/COVID-19) on your computer to find lists of books of all kinds, virtual field trips, and even movies through Kanopy. To" checkout" some of these you need a library card, but for many further down the page you do not even need a card. The site tells you how to get a virtual Plumas County Library card by email so you would have access to all the library's e-books to download through the Overdrive App. as well.
4. We can also get a digital library card for Washoe County Libraries In Reno while libraries are closed. You do not have to live in Reno to get this card but you need a parent's mobile phone to get the library card number and passcode to get access to all their books AND Washoe County Library Virtual Storytimes on Facebook twice a day at 11:00am and 4:00pm. I have enjoyed librarians reading fun books to me!
5. Both County Libraries have a link to Tumblebooks where you can choose full length, illustrated picture books, chapter books, Graphic Novels,or non-fiction books to read online. Plumas County has a login for us as tumblebooklibrary.com Login is Tumble735 with password- books. No library card needed.
So...... EVERY DAY IS LIBRARY DAY. Keep reading!
I miss you all--- Mrs. Satterfield

Here to Help
Need to talk? We understand that this can be a challenging time for all of our Greenville students and families. If you want someone to talk to Ms. Mongiello, our Assistant Principal of Student Supports, is here for you. You can reach out if you’re struggling or just need someone to talk to. Please email her at emongiello@pcoe.k12.ca.us. She will work with you to set up a time to talk either by phone, email, Zoom, or Google Hangout. Please feel free to reach out.
Here are some other options for support-
California has a peer run warm line-phone and web based chat options. They have a policy that you can access it every 4 hours if needed. It does not have to be an emergency to talk to someone. Phone number is: 1-855-845-7415 and webchat can be found at www.mentalhealthsf.org.
If it is an emergency you can always contact the National Suicide Prevention Hotline by calling 1-800-273-8255 or texting HOME to 741741.
