The Principal's Den
My son's principal at Timbercreek shared a tweet this weekend that I thought was great. He said, "There is no counting down days. We have so much left to accomplish. Promise to give TCHS the same level of passion & energy every day." I'd like to reiterate the very same sentiment to each and every one of you. Continue to put up student work and make sure your kids know that at SVES, our classrooms are learning ready all the way until the last day of school.
Continue to show your passion for teaching...even on the toughest of days! Our kids deserve the very best and you have what it takes to make that happen.
Thanks Everyone!
Kristen
Campus Climate Survey
PLEASE Take Annual Campus Climate Survey now through April 12th. At this time we've only had about 9 staff members who have participated.
The survey is asking you for feedback regarding academic preparation, student support, parent engagement, school operations, school leadership, and more. Survey results will help the SVES leadership team as well as our CEIC to understand where we are succeeding and where we can improve.
You can take the survey by visiting http://www.k12insight.com/KellerISD/schoolsurvey.
Volunteer Breakfast - April 28th
- Teachers would make a list of the volunteers that have helped this school year.
- Teachers would send home the invitation. Volunteers would RSVP to the homeroom teacher by a given date.
- The Sunshine Committee would decorate the library the afternoon before the event.
- Every teacher then signs up to bring something in to serve to the volunteers on the day of the breakfast.
- The breakfast could begin as early as 7:45. Each teacher could take turns coming down to the breakfast for a few minutes to say hello. Other grade level teachers can help cover the class.
The 28th is a Friday. The Monday following this is Teacher Appreciation Week. :)
Literacy Leaders Newsletter
April showers came early! Hoping that the sunshine this morning brightens your day! Dawn Bailey has created a monthly newsletter focusing upon Techniques and Tools for Teaching Reading & Writing. Feel free to use the contents in a manner that best meets your needs. Her goal is to send out a monthly update correlating to our Curriculum Documents with coaching tips and ideas to support Balanced Literacy and the Workshop Model.
