Warm Weather and the Dress Code
It's HOT out there and the 5th grade teachers want you to be COOL! Shorts and short sleeve shirts are perfect for these very warm days. Please be aware that it can get quite cool in the classrooms, so students may need a sweatshirt or fleece in the building. Also, please abide by the dress code as outlined in the Southside Handbook:
Sleeveless shirts are permitted; however, no spaghetti straps, tank tops, or halter tops should be worn. Undergarments and torso should not be visible.
Shorts must be an appropriate length Shorts that reach the bottom of the student's fingertips when arms are extended down are appropriate.
2018 Spell Bowl
Tryouts for the 2018 Southside Spell Bowl Team will be held on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Students can prepare by studying the list attached below! Good luck, spellers!
