MANDATORY KEYSTONE EXAMS AT LHS
January 3rd through January 12th
Pennsylvania’s new graduation requirement, Act 158 of 2018, was signed into law on October 24, 2018. The new graduation pathways require all students to take the three Keystone Exams (Algebra 1, Biology, and Literature). Starting with the Class of 2023, in order to graduate from any school in our state, students need to meet the criteria of one of the following pathways (in addition to our district’s credit requirements):
1) Score Proficient or Advanced on all three of the Keystone Exams
2) Score a minimum combined total of 4552 on all of the Keystone Exams
3) Meet the requirements of either the Career & Technological Education Concentrator Pathway, Alternative Assessment Pathway, or the Evidence-Based Pathway
All students will also be participating in Naviance transition plan/transition portfolio activities during the Keystone Exam days in January as part of the additional Lebanon High School graduation requirements. ACCESS testing for ELD students will also take place during this January testing window.
If you have any questions, please contact me directly at 273-9391 (ext. 1510) or via e-mail at wgiovino@lebanon.k12.pa.us .

KNOWING YOUR CHILD’S ACADEMIC STATUS
Every Wednesday, all students at Lebanon High School will be taking a screen shot of their current grades from PowerSchool to show you on their iPad. Please make it part of your Wednesday night routine to discuss their grades and inform us if you need any assistance. If your child does not bring this electronic progress report home, please contact either our guidance department at 273-9391 (ext. 1505 or 1506) or me directly at ext. 1510 or via e-mail at wgiovino@lebanon.k12.pa.us to receive another copy.
~December is Holiday Concert Season at LHS~
The Lebanon High School music department is having another great year! Many different musical activities are taking place, including concert choir, chamber singers, show choir, symphonic band, and orchestra. Please come out to the concerts, and continue to support the LHS music department!
