Valentine's Day Planning
Please share with your child these instructions for creating a Valentine box:
1. First, get a box about the size of a shoebox.
2. Next, cover your box. You may want to paint it or cover it using materials such as wrapping paper, construction paper, or a paper bag.
3. Decorate your Valentine box so it looks like your likes and interests. Be creative! It should show the things you love. Include your name in your design so that friends will deliver your cards to the right box!
4. Be sure to make an opening on the top so that friends can easily put cards in. Also, plan a way to open your box so that you can take out the valentine cards at the party!
Valentine boxes and cards should be kept at home until Wednesday, February 7.
Valentines
Dear Parents:
Exchanging Valentine cards is optional. However, if your child chooses to give Valentines, please make sure that each child in our classroom receives one. This will help us avoid hurt feelings on a very special day. If your child wants to give an extra special card or gift to a close friend, this should be done outside of the school setting.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
