Ms. McDaniel ~ 2nd Grade
Hi everyone, my name is Paige McDaniel and I am very excited to be a Buckhorn Creek Buccaneer! I grew up and went to school in Cary, North Carolina. I graduated Cum Laude, from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, in December 2015 with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a concentration in Social Studies.
In second grade, my love for education ignited from the loving guidance and passion of my 2nd grade teacher. My dream became my reality, and I am so excited that I get to continue living my dream every day as a Buckhorn Creek Buccaneer!
In my free time you might find me with my nephews, my family, or my dogs. I have an identical twin sister, who is also a teacher in Wake County. My favorite place to visit are the North Carolina beaches. I look forward to meeting you all very soon!
Ms. Wiesner ~ Student Information Data Manager
Hi! My name is Laura Wiesner. I am so excited to join the team at Buckhorn Creek Elementary as the Data Manager! I have been with Wake county since 2009. During my years with WCPSS I’ve been a receptionist, teaching assistant, data manager and lead secretary. I enjoy meeting and working with families, especially during the enrollment process.
My husband and I have two grown children. I love to spend time with my family and friends, play with my two dogs and cat, read, and travel.
Ms. Robinson-Tiffin~ Kindergarten
I graduated from University of Cumbria with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, having completed a BA honors degree in Performing Arts. I have taught across the UK for 9 years taking on various coordinator roles in subjects such as phonics, PSHE and Design and Technology. My final post in the UK was in a small rural school in Alston where mixed age teaching was the norm. I was incredibly fortunate to teach a lively Reception/ Year 1 class all with varying needs. This class helped me not only to develop certain teaching skills but defined me as an educator.
I love enabling students to become independent learners and thinkers. The journeys that we take together when learning is always unique and full of wonder. That is what I love about teaching the wonder and creating exciting opportunities that enable all students to become excited about learning.
I cannot wait to start at Buckhorn Creek Elementary School. Schools are a vibrant and exciting place to learn and grow!
Ms. Wright ~ Instructional Assistant ~ Special Programs
I am excited to be starting my career at Buckhorn Creek! The 2018-2019 school year will mark my first year as an Instructional Assistant. I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Winston-Salem State University with a degree in Exercise Science. The past three years I have spent my time as a Track Out counselor with the city of Raleigh. There I work directly with school aged children facilitating curriculum-based programs. In working with the city of Raleigh I found my passion for children.
I am currently in the process of getting a Master in Arts in Teaching. I am a proud mama to a French Bulldog named Lucas (he is the light of my life). In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, watching sports (GO TARHEELS!), collecting movies and sleeping! I cannot wait to be a Buccaneer and help foster positive relationships with our students, families and fellow teachers.
